What is CSR?
CSR is a way to conduct business, which considers the three P’s: People, Planet and Profit. At Ticket to Heaven CSR is an integral part of our business. It is a natural extension of our core values: Quality, Respect, Honesty and Strength.
Why is Ticket to Heaven working with CSR?
To integrate CSR and the three P’s in the way the company manages the business is sound and productive: You contribute to a sustainable development, and at the same time ensure not only economic stability in the company, but also access to future customers.
How does Ticket to Heaven work with CSR?
The overall frame for our work with CSR is the ten principles under United Nations Global Compact. This is ten international principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
Global Compact is the largest internationally recognised CSR-initiative for private businesses. It was established by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, in 2000 with the purpose to involve private businesses in the solution of global problems. Businesses supporting Global Compact, must hand in a yearly report on their improvements in the various areas. Read Ticket to Heaven’s 2010 report to Global Compact here (pdf).
Why does Ticket to Heaven support Global Compact?
Ticket to Heaven have been supporting Global Compact since 2008. We believe that the ten principles are relevant to use as a framework for our CSR effort, because the principles are internationally recognised and well known in the countries where we sell our clothes, it establishes recognisability and respect. Furthermore Global Compact makes a number of useful tools available for the companies supporting the CSR initiative.
Ticket to Heaven encourages all our business partners to support Global Compact and the ten principles. Read more on UN Global Compact here.
